How we compare
Start with comparable products
A comparison contains two or three published, source-checked ordinary foods from the same category, market and preparation state. Different product versions must not be merged into one label.
State the basis
Show the original labeled serving and select a common comparison basis: per labeled serving, per 100 g or per 100 mL where supported. Per-serving views show what each manufacturer calls a serving; the amounts may differ. A per-100 figure is a derived estimate, not a new test result.
Keep uncertainty visible
Unknown values are left unknown, not ranked as the smallest or best. Qualified values retain their qualifier. Without a supported serving weight or volume, no normalized value is supplied. We do not infer that the food with a lower number is the healthiest or best for weight loss.
Review after changes
Food facts are kept in one source record. When those facts, the product version or publication status change, dependent editorial conclusions and buying suggestions require review. A withdrawn food is not kept publicly visible through an old comparison.
Sources, prices and our limits
The public page shows the source, package version and checking date. Retailer links are maintained separately. Unconfirmed or stale prices are not presented as current offers. The analysis is based on published labels and public information, not taste tests, clinical advice or personalized dietary recommendations.
