Scope and preview status

This notice describes the current SteadyScale implementation, not the policies of external retailers or OpenAI. It is a prelaunch notice. The operator, providers, retention arrangements and request contact below must be confirmed and checked before public operation.

Weight records and local settings

The tracker stores dated values and display preferences in IndexedDB for this website in your browser. There is no account-based weight database or automatic cloud synchronization on our WordPress server. Food comparisons do not read those entries or use them to rank products or create advertising audiences.

Local does not mean an encrypted vault

Scripts running on the same website origin and people with access to your browser or device may be able to access browser storage. We do not describe it as end-to-end encrypted. Browser cleanup, private browsing restrictions, storage eviction, a different device or browser, or a change of site origin can make records unavailable.

Your backup and deletion controls

Use Local data & settings to export JSON backups or CSV files, review an import, or clear the records managed by the tool. Full local clearing requires two confirmations. Downloaded files may contain sensitive information: protect them yourself. Clearing the tool does not delete copies you exported, browser backups, or files held by someone else. We cannot remotely restore or erase those copies.

Contact messages

If you submit a message, we receive your name, response email, selected topic and message text. These are stored in a private WordPress inbox so an authorized administrator can review and respond. The form is separate from the tracker. Do not include health records, identity documents or payment details. During preview, use test information rather than real personal enquiries.

Email notifications

An email notification may be sent to the configured operator inbox only after a separate mail service is configured. That service and the recipient mailbox may retain their own copies. A saved message is not proof of email delivery. The current preview does not claim that an external notification service has been configured or verified.

Access logs, security and administration

The hosting server, reverse proxy or CDN may process IP addresses, requested paths, timestamps and technical request details to deliver and secure the site. Logged-in WordPress administrators use necessary authentication cookies. Contact abuse protection uses short-lived keyed identifiers; it is not an advertising identity. Never place weight values or medical information in URLs or messages.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The current website does not install advertising pixels, session replay, third-party analytics, remote font services or a newsletter tracker by default. Tracker records are not sent to an advertising platform. If the site later adds a provider or a non-essential tracking technology, its behavior, disclosures and any required choices must be reviewed before activation. This notice does not claim that hosting or CDN services keep no logs.

External links

Following a source or retailer link leaves this website. The destination can process its own traffic under its own privacy policy. An external link is not an instruction to send your local tracker data. A commercial relationship, where one actually exists, must be disclosed near the link.

Retention and privacy requests

Browser records remain until you remove them or the browser removes access to them. Server messages and provider logs are separate. The confirmed retention and deletion process must be published below before launch; the current profile fields are disclosures, not automatic deletion schedules. Once a verified contact is available, you can request information, correction or deletion relating to a server message. Identity checks may be necessary; do not send extra sensitive documents unless a secure, justified process has been agreed.

Changes and limits

This is a tool for adults, not a service designed to collect children’s personal information. Material changes to data handling require an updated notice and review before deployment. Applicable privacy obligations depend on the actual operator, providers, users and data flows; this preview is not a certification of legal compliance.
